Giving back part of what God has given you is a way to tremendously bless others around you, the world you live in, and yourself.

A local church does many programs, services, and acts of charity in order to bless the community around it; providing free services, meals, devotionals, counseling, giving to national and international missionaries, and more.   These services to the local community and the entire world could not be possible without support from others. That is where you come in. Alone, a person can not usually support an entire church ministry establishment. But together, by all just giving a portion, we can change the world. 

 

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:7 

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”

 

This sets forth a principle that we are to give back to The Kingdom of God that God lays on our hearts to give.

 

The Bible also says in Malachi 3:10 

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.”

 

We don’t encourage a “Drive-Thru” mentality when it comes to giving to God, assuming the next window will be your delivery of blessing. But the Bible specifically says in Galatians 6:7-9 

“Be not deceived; God has not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

 

For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption, but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

 

And let us not be weary in well doing: "for in due season we shall reap if we faint not.”

It is our belief sourced in God’s Word, that if an individual cheerfully gives, then he will be blessed and provided for by our Savior.
